  • Great saphenous vein incompetence : Embolization with a modified cyanoacrylate (VenaSeal®)
  • Interventional plan : The depth of the vein at least > 10 mm from the skin
  • 100% ultrasound-guided procedure.
  • VenaSeal® : highly viscous
  • Pull-back / compression / glue injection technique
  • Compared with thermic ablative techniques such as laser and radiofrequency ablation:
    • No need for tumescence along the vein with physiological serum and a local anaesthetic.
    • No risk of nerve injury
    • Treatment of great saphenous vein collaterals and Cockett perforating veins
