Chronic total occlusions (CTOs) are part of the last challenges in endovascular, peripheral or coronary interventions.

Vascular surgeons and interventional cardiologists are seeing new devices common to both disciplines to improve their respective success rates.

Recently available in France, pilot country, CenterCross and MutliCross anchoring catheters combine the peripheral vascular concept of a self-expandable nitinol system with coronary crossing techniques by using microcatheters such as Micro14, to cross peripheral and coronary occlusions.

Fast-growing in coronary CTOs as well as in bifurcations, double lumen catheters such as NHancerRX are entering into the treatment of tibio-peroneal lesions.

Program

  • Case-in-box n°1: CTO PCI in LAD: strategies when the microcatheter cannot cross the lesion after antegrade wiring
    Panel Discussion
  • Case-in-box n°2: Long BTK recanalization
    Panel Discussion
  • Case-in-box n°3: Long BTK recanalization
    Panel Discussion
  • Case-in-box n°4: CTO in proximal LCX close to a bifurcation
    Panel Discussion

  • Conclusion & Take home messages

Educational objectives

  • Improve coronary and peripheral angioplasty knowledge: techniques and approach strategies.
  • Discuss the choice of a material - especially catheters - adapted to coronary and/or peripheral diseases.
  • How to manage complications with multi-vascular patients.
  • Compare strategies and tips&tricks of different experts from different specialities: their approach & techniques.

Audience

  • This web symposium is dedicated to cardiovascular and endovascular specialists interventional interested and/or specialized in coronary and/or peripheral angioplasties: interventional cardiologists, angiologists, vascular surgeons, interventional radiologists...
  • A prerequisite for attendees in an initial knowledge and practice of angioplasty.
